Bedtime Ritual MOON MILK (TURMERIC ASHWAGANDHA DRINK)

Benefits: In Ayurveda (one of the oldest systems of natural healing in the world), Moon milk is a common remedy for sleeplessness. The Ashwagandha paste from Raw Roots Turmeric is perfect for making "MOON MILK' for better sleep. Ashwagandha improves the quality of sleep and may help with the treatment of insomnia. The scientific name of ASHWAGANDHA (Somnifera) in Latin means 'sleep inducer,' which probably refers to its utility to treat anxiety or calm the mental fatigue.

Ingredients

1. Fresh Ashwagandha Paste (Ashwagandha leaves, Tulsi leaves, turmeric root, ginger root, black pepper and lemon juice freshly picked from our garden). 

2. Roasted Tea Masala (Cardamom, clove, ginger powder, hibiscus flower, nutmeg).  

3. Turmeric Jaggery Syrup (grated turmeric, turmeric leaves extract, black pepper and jaggery).

Steps:

Bring milk to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in the Ashwagandha paste and continue medium heat for 5-10 min. Add roasted tea masala and continue to heat for 2-4 minutes at low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Stir in jaggery syrup. Pour into a cup, drink warm, and climb right into bed.
